Experienced primary and secondary leaders join Horizon English School Town Square as families increasingly look beyond facilities when choosing a school.
Horizon English School Town Square, an all-through British curriculum school scheduled to open in Dubai, has announced two key appointments to its founding leadership team: Charlotte Grieves as Head of Primary and Lewis Hammill as Head of Secondary. Both educators bring significant experience from British curriculum schools in the UAE, with backgrounds spanning school improvement, curriculum development, staff leadership and student achievement.
Charlotte Grieves brings more than 20 years of experience in education, including senior leadership roles in Dubai and extensive involvement in school inspections and improvement initiatives. Her work has focused on building strong primary school foundations while supporting children’s academic and personal development.
Meanwhile, Lewis Hammill joins with experience across both the UAE and the UK, having held senior leadership positions focused on curriculum development, assessment and student outcomes. His background includes supporting secondary students through key examination years and preparing them for future study pathways.
The appointments reflect a growing trend among schools to prioritise leadership expertise alongside investment in facilities and resources. As Dubai’s education sector becomes increasingly competitive, parents are often looking for evidence of strong leadership teams capable of delivering a consistent experience across all year groups. Education specialists frequently highlight the importance of continuity between primary and secondary phases, particularly within all-through schools. A cohesive leadership structure can help create smoother transitions for students and ensure a shared educational vision across the school community.
Nick Hart, Principal of Horizon English School Town Square, shared: “For families, the quality of leadership is fundamental. Charlotte and Lewis are both exceptional in their fields, bringing not only experience, but sound judgement, integrity and a clear commitment to delivering the very best for every child. Their appointment ensures that our school will open with both strength and purpose.”
