Mother, Baby and Child Magazine is proud to welcome Dr. Alison Burrows as one of our expert speakers at our upcoming Raising Children in a Digital World coffee morning event in association with Ambassador International Academy Mankhool. The event aims to help parents feel empowered to raise children who can embrace technology while still developing strong relationships, emotional resilience, creativity, and curiosity.
Dr. Alison Burrows is an education leader, researcher, professor, and digital wellbeing expert specialising in education, childhood studies, and the impact of technology on the developing child and adolescent. She has lectured at Middlesex University Dubai for the past five years and is the architect of Dubai’s first Master of Education in Technology Integration and Practice, a program designed to equip educators with the skills to use digital tools meaningfully and responsibly to improve teaching and learning.
Her current research explores the realities of children’s digital lives, the developmental impact of screen exposure, digital wellbeing, and meaningful learning with technology.
She is widely recognised across the UAE and Gulf region for her work helping schools, parents, and policymakers navigate the challenges of raising and educating children in the digital and AI age.
